Skills Store
We manage the North Western Melbourne Skills Store, which is a Victorian Government initiative to assist Victorians recognise and develop their skills.
We can help turn your skills into a qualification. We provide free, friendly, expert advice on opportunities and options available through Victoria’s vocational education and training system.
Who is eligible?
The North Western Melbourne Skills Store provide services to individuals, organisations and businesses in the north-west region of Melbourne.

What do we provide?
For individuals
We help you:
- gain recognition for your current skills
- develop a profile indicating how your skills match all or part of a qualification
- plan how to update or improve your qualifications
- with a referral service for career and training options.
For employers and career advisers
We can help:
- discuss skills recognition and specific training options for your employees to assist in developing and expanding your business or organisation
- assist with training-related information.
Where do I start?
To access this service you can either:
- drop in to one of our Skills Store shop fronts, or
- make an appointment to meet with one our consultants.
How much does it cost?
All Skills Stores advice and referral services and an initial skills profile are free-of-charge. There may be fees and charges associated with training and the formal recognition assessment of your skills provided by a registered training organisation to which you have been referred.
