*Note: The Final Skills Assessment is required to support an application for permanent residency. It adds an assessment of employment experience to the earlier qualifications only assessment for 485 visa purposes. The paper based application form can be downloaded here. To apply online for the Final Skills Assessment download the SRG29 Post 485 form.

Regular postage is included in the application fee. For a small additional fee, you may choose to have your results sent via Registered Post, Express Post International or Express Post Courier for an extra fee (as below).

Exemption from paying the GST component
Goods and Services Tax (GST) is a broad-based tax of 10% on most goods, services and other items sold or consumed in Australia. If you are not in Australia at the time of lodging the application you may be exempt from paying the GST component.
You need to provide evidence for this exemption if one of your addresses in your application is an Australian address.
Acceptable evidence includes:
- a Statutory Declaration
- a Notorial certificate
- a statement signed by a registered migration agent or lawyer.
This evidence must:
- clearly state that the applicant was not in Australia at the time of lodging the application
- be written on company letterhead
- be signed by the individual registered migration agent/lawyer making the statement (not a representative)
- be faxed or posted.
Making a payment
We have several payment options available. Find out about the different payment methods we accept.
Payments must be:
- made payable to VETASSESS
- in Australian dollars
- paid and cleared 7 days prior to your assessment
All payments are non-refundable.
You will be able to complete payment using any one of the following methods:
Online
We accept MasterCard or VISA where online application and payment is permitted.
By mail
We accept the following payment methods by mail:
- credit card (MasterCard or VISA)
- cheque – which must be cleared before the service is provided (overseas payments must be bank cheque or bank draft – payable at an Australian bank)
- Australia Post money order
In person
We accept the following payment methods in person:
- EFTPOS (electronic funds transfer point of sale)
- credit card (MasterCard or VISA)
Please note: we do not accept cash payments including in person, posted or paid into a bank account.
