Preparing for assessment
Before you apply to have your trade skills assessed you should gain an understanding of the Australian requirements relating to your occupation.
You can do this by reviewing the fact sheet and completing a self-assessment for your relevant occupation.
- Fact sheets outline the tasks, duties and competency groups that are drawn from units of competence within the relevant industry training package for each occupation.
- Self-assessments will help you to decide whether you have the required training, work experience and competencies to meet the Australian standards for your nominated occupation.
