Preparing for assessment
Before you apply to have your trade skills assessed you should gain an understanding of the Australian requirements relating to your occupation.
You can do this by reviewing the portfolio builder and the fact sheet and completing a trade evidence form.
- Portfolio builder will help you to collect the evidence you need to show that you have the required skills and knowledge to do a job.
- Fact sheets outline the tasks, duties and competency groups that are drawn from units of competency within the relevant industry Training Package for each occupation.
- Trade evidence forms help you inform us what skills and knowledge you have in certain areas of your trade. You must complete this form and submit it with your application.
