AMI and VETASSESS launch micro-credentials for marketers

The AMI micro-credentials provide marketers with an opportunity to strengthen their professional brand with Australian-recognised marketing certification. Professional marketers can gain certification in five specialist areas:

• Data-Driven Marketing
• Digital marketing
• Content marketing
• Creative design marketing
• Customer experience

The assessments are conducted by VETASSESS and have been designed in collaboration with, and validated by, AMI experts.

VETASSESS Executive Director Rob Thomason says the AMI micro-credentials will enable marketers to share their achievements with clients and peers by posting their micro-credential to their professional site, company website or digital signature.

“These micro-credentials recognise that marketers gain new competencies throughout their careers as the requirements for the profession change, and they give professionals the opportunity to demonstrate their skills are relevant and up to date,” he said.

“Our micro-credentials offer a new way to recognise the skills and knowledge that you already have through your current work experience and on-the-job training,” said John Clay, Chair of AMI’s Professional Advancement Committee…“ micro credentials form a key component to support professional career paths in marketing; with our other key aspects being accreditation of university degrees in Australia, and the delivery of the most comprehensive marketing education and training program through our partnership with the Chartered Institute of Marketing”.
