CHANGES TO THE TRADE SKILLS ASSESSMENT PROCESS

- Trades Recognition Australia has announced changes to the trade skills assessment process, including changes to the fees, employment experience criteria and payment process for OSAP, TSS and TRS trade skills assessments. The VETASSESS website has been updated to reflect the changes.

- These changes relate to all new applications received from 1st March 2019.

Important Notes

  • All assessment fees must be paid to Trades Recognition Australia.
  • If you are applying for a non-licensed occupation, then you MUST complete a Technical Interview in stage 2 of the assessment.
  • If you are applying for a licensed occupation (Electrician, Plumber or Air-Conditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic), then you MUST complete both a Technical Interview and a Practical Assessment in stage 2 of the assessment.

You must pay fees before each stage of your Trade Skills Assessment. You will pay for your Stage 1 assessment after have completed your application and submitted all relevant evidence to VETASSESS.

Assessment fees must be paid directly to Trades Recognition Australia (TRA). VETASSESS will provide you with the payment code you will need to complete your payment.
