Can you believe we have reached the end of 2025 already? Wow, time flies! 

As we get ready to sign off for the year, we invite you to look back at the top five highlights of our year.

Before we begin, VETASSESS is proud to announce that we conducted approximately 50,000 skills assessments this year. 

#5: VETASSESS hosted its annual Allyship Conference, bringing together leading voices from across Australia's migration landscape. This year, Allyship included the issues and voices of skilled migrants, asylum seekers and refugees.

#4: Two outstanding professionals from VETASSESS have earned top honours at the 2025 VIC/TAS Auscontact Excellence Awards, recognising standout achievements in customer service and operational impact. Customer service centre manager Karen Sutton was recognised for exceptional work in managing customer relationships and enhancing their experience, whilst skills recognition trades administrator Ruth Money was honoured for vital behind-the-scenes contributions that drive effective operations.

#3: VETASSESS was recognised as a finalist at the 2025 India Australia Business & Community Alliance (IABCA) Awards Gala. Our nomination in the Excellence in Trade, Investment & Partnerships (Organisation) category reflects our commitment to building strong bilateral collaborations across skills development, education partnerships, international assessment operations and impactful initiatives.

#2: Held at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne from 8-10 October, the Migration Institute of Australia's National Migration Conference 2025 brought together migration professionals, policymakers, educators and industry leaders to explore the future of migration in Australia. This year's program focused on reform, resilience, and readiness, with key topics including: global migration shifts, skills assessment innovations, generational learning and workforce readiness, and Generation Z - the workforce of the future.

#1: Bendigo Kangan Institute, which VETASSESS is a key division of, was named Large Training Provider at the Australian Training Awards. This is a proud achievement that reflects our commitment to quality skills and vocational education across Victoria.
