Post-Gap Assessment

Have you completed gap training in a licensed trade and are now ready to get a full qualification?

Here is what you will need to be eligible:

1. You have previously applied for a Pathway 1 skills assessment or an Australian Technical Competencies Assessment under the occupations of Electrician (General), Electrician (Special Class) or Airconditioning and Refrigeration Mechanic, and received a successful outcome, and
2. You have completed an Australian context gap course relevant to the occupation under which you were assessed, and
3. You have completed the following units of competency (for the occupations of Electrician (General) and Electrician (Special Class) only):

-    HLTAID009 Provide cardiopulmonary resuscitation 
-    UETDRRF004 Perform rescue from a live LV panel.

We will review your documents to ensure they meet the requirements. 

If your Offshore Technical Skills Record was issued before 31 January 2023 or your Statement of Attainment for the Australian context gap course is more than 3 years old, you may be required to complete a practical assessment.
