Chinese Qualifications Verification

VETASSESS is authorised by China Higher Education Student Information and Career Center (CHESICC) and China Academic Degrees and Graduate Education Development Center (CDGDC) to verify Chinese education qualifications. We verify Chinese qualification documents obtained in China (except for Macau and Hong Kong) issued after 1981. This service verifies the authenticity of documents and does not compare Chinese qualifications with Australian equivalents.

FAQs

We work with the verification authorities in China to verify both the authenticity and the recognition status of the qualification documents. This provides the ONLY acceptable verification outcomes for VETASSESS Skills Assessment.

VETASSESS requires all qualifications awarded in China for assessment to be verified through Chinese Qualifications Verification of VETASSESS. You are required to apply through VETASSESS for your Qualifications Verification even if you have obtained Credential Reports from the verification authorities already.

For applicants who require the Chinese Qualifications Verification for VETASSESS skills assessment purposes, you only need to apply for verification of the qualification that meets the minimum requirement of the nominated occupation. If the qualification has gained credits from the previous study, the earlier qualification needs to be verified together with the later qualification.

The Department of Immigration and Border Protection (DIBP) often requires all Chinese qualifications to be verified. You may use the verification results again when you lodge your application for skilled migration with DIBP. When you submit the verification results to DIBP, you are suggested to send both the Credential Reports and VETASSESS Confirmation letters together with other DIBP required documents.

For applicants referred by other assessing authorities/professional bodies, please contact your assessing authority/professional body for the latest information regarding verification before applying to VETASSESS.

A negative verification result, meaning either that the qualification is not recognised by the Ministry of Education (MOE) in China, or is not recorded in MOE's or the educational institution's database, will normally mean that the qualification cannot be assessed, or will lead to a negative assessment outcome. A positive verification result will be used for assessment, but does not automatically generate a positive assessment. The qualification will be assessed by using assessment guidelines against the Australian Qualifications Framework.

Most Chinese Qualification Verification applications are completed within 6-8 weeks, but a small number of cases may take longer (e.g awards received before 1995), for various reasons. Please allow 6 weeks before making any status inquires. Failure to submit the required documentation will cause considerable delays in your Chinese Qualification Verification. Your Chinese Qualification Verification cannot be processed unless we have received all of the required documentation.
