VETASSESS will resume accepting new Pathway 1 applications for the occupation of Plumber (General), ANZSCO Code 334111, on February 12, 2024. 

Update: From June 12, 2024, we began accepting new applications for Chef and Fitter (General), and from April 23, 2024, we resumed accepting new applications for the occupations of Cook, Diesel Motor Mechanic and Motor Mechanic (General).

The VETASSESS Priority Processing service will change so that applicants with evidence of urgent need will receive priority when places are allocated.

From August 9 2023, VETASSESS will no longer require applicants to provide verified copies of qualifications from HEC Pakistan or, for Nigerian applicants, the registrar's office of the awarding body. This applies to applicants in professional and general occupations.

Applicants are expected to provide all the documents required at the time they submit their application.

Apiarists and beekeepers who need a skills assessment for Australian migration purposes will no longer require a bachelor-level degree to satisfy the criteria.
